What kind of question is that? Why not? Are you implying that you expected me to have kids? I notice that I usually only get asked that from someone who has children… so I smirk and sweetly reply “because I don’t have unprotected sex”. Then I sit back and watch their expression change from shock to anger. Is that a cruel thing for me to do? Perhaps. But I was taught not to ask a question that I didn’t want the answer to.
